Year of Zines: In which Sarah Mirk (That's Me!) Somewhat Obsessively Tries to Make a Zine Every Day For a Year
by Shay Sarah Mirk Author
After spending a year making one zine every day, Sarah Mirk collected her favorite 100 of them into this bright yellow book. Each 8-page zine is made out of a single piece of paper, and contains various hand-written and -illustrated observations, instructions, and meditations on important topics in Sarah's life, like journalism, capitalism, relationships, adulting, and vegetables. She also includes a guide to making your own zines, drawing tips for people who you don't know how to draw, reviews of other people's zines she loves, and a bonus zine that is "a defense of productivity through chaos."
(Sarah's still making zines, though not every day—you can read them all on her instagram.)
