Living With Our Dead: On Loss and Consolation

This a book recounting eleven stories of loss, mourning, and consolation — written by one of the few female rabbis in France, leader of the country’s Liberal Jewish Movement. Bringing forth this perspective, Delphine Horvilleur shares her stories of some of the most difficult moments she’s experienced and help others see through. This book’s aim is to be humanist, universal, and to inspire and sustain people through some of life’s most difficult times. She encourages the reader to embrace the death and the grief process as one of the few unavoidable experiences — to reject a contemporary tendency of not addressing these as a fundamental part of life.
