The Philosophy of Animal Rights

This book, a collaboration between two professors and animal rights activists, serves a primer marketed to students and teachers to explore the debates and fundamental arguments to be found in the fight for animal rights. Suited for the classroom, the book will highlight how the issue of animal rights may come up in the classroom in different ways, whether one is presenting or studying the subject. The authors will explore their own syllabi and give a sense of the way that they approach the subject and contrast it with other environmental activist movements and ethical practices. Included is an extensive bibliography containing references and philosophical resources.
