Menopause Book: The Complete Guide - Hormones, Hot Flashes, Health, Moods, Sleep, Sex
by Pat Wingert Author and Barbara Kantrowitz Author
A giant brick of a book, this encyclopedic resource is a guide to perimenopause and menopause. Chapters combine explainers, charts, and frequently asked questions. Figure out how to know perimenopause is beginning and what to expect throughout the process, and progress into topics like sleep, sex, bleeding, pain, mood, memory, bones, heart health, cancer, diet, and looks. The perspectives offered are allopathic and don't go particularly deeply into anything—it's not a replacement for an empathetic and knowledgable doctor—but the book's comprehensive in its breadth and can give you an overview of what to look out for and where you might want to learn more. There aren't a ton of menopause resources out there, and this one covers a lot of ground.
