Visions of Cody
by Jack Kerouac Author
You know when you travel with your best friend so often that you not only want to write about your adventures together but also about your best friend themselves? That's pretty much what Visions of Cody is, Jack Kerouac's account on fellow Beat writer Neal Cassady—called Cody Pomeray in the book—and how he relates with "general 'America'" according to Kerouac.
Some parts narration and other parts script-like dialogue, Visions of Cody is a companion to On the Road. You might get lost during the trip, but you'll probably find something peculiar to ponder along the way.
