Damn! Why Didn't I Write That?: How Ordinary People Are Raking in $100,000.00... or More Writing Nonfiction Books & How You Can Too!(2nd Edition)
by Marc McCutcheon Author
This book is amazing. It's the best book I've ever read on getting your nonfiction book published, hands-down. I know it has a goofy title and like a million different fonts on the cover—never promising signs. But inside, it's well-written, concise, savvy, and wise. Its chapter on title development and market research is especially good. I wish everyone could get their hands on a copy of this book before they begin to write, or at least before they hit the "publish" button on the online platform of their choice. McCutcheon walks you through the art of writing books for money, from finding a vacant niche to pitching it to publishers to promoting the finished product to building a brand—and an income stream. A lot of people aren't in writing for the money, but if you are, or have to be, do yourself a favor and read this book—even if you need to cover it with a paper bag!
