Truth and Revolution: A History of the Sojourner Truth Organization 1969-1986

Truth and Revolution focuses on the radical revolutionary group called the Sojourner Truth Organization and their activities in the 1970s and 80s. Staudenmaier examines the organization's political ideologies and how the members of the group put those ideologies into practice. Through factory organizing, anti-imperialist solidarity, and other activities, the STO was able to influence politics then and now. The need for activism hasn't decreased over the years, and looking at the strategies of the STO can provide important insight for today's activists and how to actively instill change.
