Foucault in California: A True Story - Wherein the Great French Philosopher

Hypothetical scene -- you score and drop some acid, you and your philosopher friend. You'll find out by morning that your buddy tripping balls or just un/happily FUBAR on good LSD. You figure, since your philosopher friend is usually chill and down to clown, that you and your partner should take little tripping Socrates on a fun SOCAL, weekend road trip with the rest of your stash. That's kinda the gist of this book! Only that friend is Michel Foucault (oui, oui, that one) and it's like half a century ago.
