This is the third volume in the series by Sylvian Margaine, documenting places that were once bustling with human life and activity that are now abandoned and hauntingly alone. Through photography with bustling color (whether bright or dull), Margaine to places like marine graveyards, once bustling giant coal mines, abandoned hospitals and churches, creepy closed prisons and asylums, and ghost factories. Like the previous installments in the series, this volume is a photographic report, a testament to the evolution of society and industry, the changing of institutional needs. The author is an engineer by vocation turned photographer, from Bordeaux, France, who marvels at the wonder of the abandoned world.
