The Last Bite: A Whole New Approach to Making Desserts Through the Year
by Anna Higham Author
This is a cookbook, yes, but also in and of itself an approach for dessert-making. This features over 150 sweet recipes, structured throughout the calendar year, by the seasons, suggesting recipes that call for seasonally correlational ingredients. The first and foremost goal is provide a delicious recipe, but beyond this it's a way to think about "how's" and the "why's" when it comes to dessert-making. This will call for innovative recipes such as fig leaf ice cream, rhubarb rice pudding, and will focus on how to work with fruit to incorporate natural sweetness into desserts.
