Ride Beside Me

This is a celebration of the lifestyles driven and led by pedal power, illustrations of them by New York Times comic creator Lucy Knisley. Here she portrays these different lives to demonstrate how bicycle create joy, community, and create safer streets. This is an ode to the wheelie popper, to the bike trailer pet owner, the bell-ringers, and the people who parade their bike pride. The book begins with a narrative of a mother and her son taking a bike ride through the neighborhood, a progressive story until the street is taking over by pedal-pushers.
