Throughout every stage of a bird's life, he analyzes the what, why, and how of avian behavior. He looks at the problems the have to solve: namely that of gathering food, learning to fly, communication and mating, caring for young, migrating, avoiding and confronting danger. The author's passion has been lifelong, one of the hopes of this book is to get people to be more interested in a large faunal part of many of our environments.
