This anthology compiles memorable walker-writers from the 1700s to the modern day, spanning country hikers to urban strollers, from rationalists to the eccentric. Duncan Minshull, an avid walker, has authored books and articles on the subject for various publications, including The Times, Financial Times, Condé Nast Traveler, and Vogue. For the author, walking and writing are intrinsically linked, with poets and novelists using walking as a creative outlet.
