House for Mouse
by Gabby Dawnay Author and Alex Barrow Illustrator
In this a little grey mouse embarks on a journey to find a new home, encountering various fairytale houses along the way. He encounters houses like Old Mother Hubbard's shoe, straw houses, a tower with no door, and gingerbread houses, with Hansel and Gretel missing. However, he is about to give up when he meets Sleeping Beauty's castle, which offers him ballrooms, turrets, and a drawbridge. Despite feeling alone, his friends from the forest and those he has met along the way come to the castle, where they feast and dance. This highlights the importance of family and friends in turning a house into a home, making it a delightful and rhyming tale for children.
