This book will introduce a perspective on trans politics, from journalist Shon Faye. She gives a incisive look at the history and current state of systemic discrimination towards trans people. She argues that the struggle for trans rights will intersect with other fights for social justice, and contends that trans rights struggle are often discarded by mainstream society as simply a side issue — one that has also become a toxic and highly polarized debate with the disproportionately polemic media attention that distort the reality of what trans people are fighting for. Brining forth these intersections, she explores why it is believes that trans liberation is fighting for a better world for all.
