Tyrannical Minds: Psychological Profiling, Narcissism, and Dictatorship

by Dean A Haycock Author

This book delves into the psychological factors that contribute to the rise of despotic leaders. First, individuals with potential for brutal personality traits, such as narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, paranoia, and excessive ambition, must develop and strengthen these traits during childhood. This can involve physical and/or psychological abuse. Finally, when a country’s political system is unstable, these individuals can rise to power. Despite diverse backgrounds and times, these leaders often respected each other and recognized their shared “dark” personality traits as strengths. But rarely did they show signs of mental disorders.
