Arctic Front: The Advance of Mountain Corps Norway on Murmansk, 1941 (Die Wehrmacht im Kampf)
by Col Gen Wilhelm Hess Author and Linden Lyons Translator
Arctic Front is a detailed and thoughtful volume on the war between the left wing of the Eastern Front and the right wing of the Western Front in Scandanavia during World War II. The Arctic Front, as detailed in this volume, was the northernmost point of conflict between Germany against Russia, an inhospitable and isolated region that had yet to gain the level of significance it would come into later, one in which survival itself was a struggle, even outside of combat.
