This graphic novel is a follow up to the New York Times bestseller, March, and focuses on the life and contributions of civil rights activist, John Lewis, following the campaign for voting rights for Black people in Selma, Alabama. While many volumes depict the end of the Civil Rights movement as occurring with the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965, John Lewis knew, and this volume affirms, that the fight for equality was just beginning. Written for ages 8+ in mind.
