Grail Alchemy: Initiation in the Celtic Mystery Tradition
by Mara Freeman Author
Grail Alchemy traces the origination and subsequent development of the Holy Grail from a symbol of the divine feminine of the Celtic goddess to symbolizing the cup offered by Christ that symbolically contained his blood. This volume argues that, historically, the quest for the holy grail has at times symbolized a deep yearning for intimacy with the divine feminine, but also for the pure, untarnished, and immortal soul. Freeman draws on Arthurian romance, Celtic traditions, in addition to alchemy and the knowledge of the mystics of Glastonbury.
