Original Sisters: Portraits of Tenacity and Courage

During the beginnings of the COVID-19 pandemic, artist and author Anita Kunz found herself stuck at home in her Toronto studio with nothing to do. Looking for inspiration, she began searching the internet and learning about the lives of various women throughout history. Realizing how limited her own knowledge of history was, Kunz began her project in earnest. What emerged from her process is this book, with color portraits of more than 150 powerful and courageous women from history, complete with biographical data.
