Ancient Brews: Rediscovered and Re-created

Ancient Brews embarks on journey through time, back to a time our ancestors were experimenting with a variety of ingredients such as fruits, honey, roots, cereals, herbs, and tree resins to create the perfect alcoholic beverage. Whether it was China, Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Scandinavia, Honduras, Peru, or Mexico, fermentation was a divine process, encapsulated by the Sumerians as the goddess Ninkasi. These potent liquids had an early social role and eventually would evolve into medicines, religious symbols, and social elixirs in later civilizations.
