PreachersNSneakers: Authenticity in an Age of For-Profit Faith and (Wannabe) Celebrities
by Ben Kirby Author
PreachersNSneakers asks the age-old question of how faith, capitalism, consumerism, and celebrity can be reconciled. While the idea started as an Instagram joke, somehow thousands of people who believe that evil exists because a snake tricked a magic rib-woman into eating an apple now take this very seriously. The book asks questions about how rich preachers should be allowed to get, the role of religious celebrities, and no doubt other super important jeebus questions as well.
