I Love Dick

Age 39 and lonely in an unfulfilling marriage, literary academic Chris Kraus channels her frustration and creative energy into the mother of all crushes, on the titular Dick. The resulting, partially fictionalized confessional charts, in literary theory-laced language, the obsession that unravels her life, or perhaps shows the unraveling that was always already there. Weird, smart, cool, and disturbing, Kraus ultimately weaves her story into a compellingly damning critique of our patriarchal culture.
