Killer Women: Chilling, Dark, and Gripping True Crime Stories of Women Who Kill
The female of the species certainly can be as deadly as the male. Here are 50 short biographies of murdering women, ranging from the historical (The Bloody Countess Elizabeth Bathory, Bonnie Parker) to the contemporary (Aileen Wuornos) and includes their backgrounds, techniques, and horrific crimes. Some are famous, many are obscure, such as the Italian DIY murderess Leonarda Cianciulli, who rendered fat from her victims to make soap and teacakes for sale. This title is sadly lacking in illustrations, and most people will find an intriguing case omitted (for me, Marjorie Diehl, the boyfriend-killing pizza bomber mastermind), but the overall scope is impressive.
