How to Raise a Reader: Fostering a lifelong love of books, from birth to teens
by Pamela Paul Author and Maria Russo Author
Want to make sure your kid grows up with a love for books, and not just a smartphone addiction? This adorably illustrated book is here to help, walking you through every age from birth to teenagedom, and offering advice about making books attractive and available, and providing top-notch specific recommendations for developmentally-appropriate books for each young reader. Contains some cool kids book history. The authors, who are editors of the New York Times Book Review could have totally phoned this one in, but they didn't—they made a rad little book that captured my attention even though I don't have kids of my own (and now I'll give way better gifts to my friends' younguns!)
